Advanced Civil Clinic: Juvenile

Course Number: Law 6941 Credits: 2-4

The Advanced Juvenile Law Clinic is designed for students who have already completed one semester in the juvenile law clinic as a CLI. The objective of the advanced clinic is to provide advanced students a more individually tailored study of juvenile law and give students more leeway to work independently on client related matters. Given their experience, advanced students are also in the position of providing guidance, support, and instruction to the new CLI’s. Thus, the advanced clinic students will conduct research on specific topics that interest them, take full responsibility of assigned cases, mentor and facilitate the learning of the new CLI’s entering their first semester in the clinic, and further their involvement in the local community of juvenile law professionals.
