Child Support Enforcement: Policy, Practice, and Procedures

This seminar explores the operation of Title IV-D child support establishment in the State of Florida. Students will learn about the interconnecting responsibilities that the courts, public, and various state and federal agencies share to ensure that all children are supported and receive a fair chance for success in life. After learning about the Title IV-D System framework, students explore several troublesome public policy and socio-economic issues that plague the efficient operation of the child support and paternity establishment. This seminar provides an opportunity to satisfy the Advanced Writing Requirement.
