Environmental Capstone Colloquium

Course Number: LAW 6930 Credits: 1

Interactive speaker series with opportunities for students to converse with leading environmental and land use thinkers from across the country. Spring 2016’s theme is “Oceans and Coastal Areas” and will feature presentations on marine fisheries; beach access and restoration; climate change and ocean acidification; ocean zoning; off-shore oil drilling; and coastal flooding. Although the course is required for graduation with the environmental & land use law certificate, it is also open to students with no environmental background who would like a broad introduction to environmental policies and challenges. The course meets 7 times during the semester, with short reaction papers required (no final exam).
