Environmental Capstone Colloquium
Course Number: LAW 6930 Credits: 1
Interactive speaker series with opportunities for students to converse with leading pandemic and environmental thinkers from across the country. Fall 2020’s theme is “Pandemics and the Environment” and will feature online presentations by a series of experts on various dimensions of law related to pandemics, including the links between infectious disease and the environment and the implications of the COVID-19 response on climate, the food supply, and environmental enforcement. Although the course is required for graduation with the environmental & land use law concentration, it is also open to students with no environmental background who would like a broad introduction to the intersection of environmental and pandemic policies and challenges. Students must attend all seven classes during the semester, engage with scholars and their colleagues, and complete short reaction papers. There is no final exam.
