Intellectual Property Law

Course Number: LAW 6570 Credits: 3

This course provides a general overview of the main areas of intellectual property law.  It covers copyright law, patent law, trademark law, and trade secret law.  It is intended as an introductory course for any law student who wishes to have a basic understanding of the areas of intellectual property and how they relate to each other. No technical background is required. Students who wish to pursue advanced course work or practice in intellectual property may take any of the stand-alone courses in copyrights, patents, trademarks, or trade secrets after taking this course.
