About
Nicholas Christopolis is a Legal Skills Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law and teaches Legal Writing, Persuasive Writing, Pre-Trial Practice, and Legal Drafting.
Professor Christopolis practiced law for over twenty years in the area of insurance defense litigation. He specialized in both trial level and appellate work. His clientele included Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and governmental entities. Professor Christopolis has also been in academia since 2008 and is passionate about bringing his practice experience – especially is the areas of legal research, writing, and oral advocacy – into the classroom to prepare the next generation of lawyers. During his time at two other law schools, he taught legal writing, torts, and contracts. He was also the director of moot court and mock trial programs. Professor Christopolis is a member of the Florida Bar and admitted to practice law in Florida state and federal courts.
When he is not in the classroom, he can usually be found trying to keep up with his teenage twins and enjoying the Florida lifestyle often participating in running, cycling, and triathlon events. Based on this interest, his scholarly research and publishing is primarily focused on issues affecting the health and fitness industry.
