Illness keeps Seigel home; scholarship started in his honor

Professor Michael Seigel

You may know that Professor Michael Seigel’s lymphoma has recurred and, as a result, he will no longer be able to teach at the Levin College of Law. He will be sorely missed by all of us.

Mike was the moving force in the creation of the Criminal Justice Center and the faculty has recognized his long-standing service to and relationship with the College by the creation of the Michael L. Seigel Criminal Justice Fellowship Fund.

The income from this endowed fellowship fund will provide stipends to assist law students in meeting living expenses while they gain unpaid field experience with federal criminal justice agencies, including both prosecution and defense offices as well as law enforcement agencies.
