Indigenous Law Portal

If you are interested in conducting research on the indigenous tribes of the United States, Canada and Mexico, the Indigenous Law Portal is a great place to start.  The portal is available on the Law Library of Congress’ website at  http://www.loc.gov/law/help/indigenous-law-guide/americas/north-america/united-states/index.php.

You can find a variety of resources on the portal including the following:

  • Federal Resources
  • Tribal Constitutions
  • Laws & Treaties
  • Research Guides

The portal also provides the capability to narrow your search on a particular region, state or province.
