The Gainesville Community Playhouse to perform “The Exonerated” at UF Law
Location: Martin H. Levin Advocacy Center courtroom
Time: 7 p.m.
The Gainesville Community Playhouse will perform “The Exonerated” in the Advocacy Center Courtroom. This is a special presentation for UF Law students and faculty. There is no charge.
The play tells the true stories of six people who were sent to death row (three in Florida) for crimes they did not commit. Each was eventually exonerated and released. The action and dialogue is taken from interviews, letters, transcripts, case files and the public record.
Senior legal skills professors Henry Wihnyk and Pat Thomson will perform in the production.
