Levin College of Law

Standing Together

The following statement was issued by Dean Laura Rosenbury on June 4, 2021.

Dear UF Law Community,

Over the past week I have heard from many students, including Jewish students who are concerned about the rise of anti-Semitism. I have also heard from members of the Muslim community who are concerned about Islamophobia.

UF Law stands with our Jewish and Muslim community members. We are doing everything in our power to ensure that UF Law remains a haven for all our students, faculty, and staff and that everyone feels welcome and safe on our campus. Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia have no place at UF Law.

We celebrate and honor the diversity of our community, including with respect to race, ethnicity, color, religion, national origin, and political opinions or affiliations. We also greatly value thoughtful, civil, and responsible discourse and advocacy. We will continue to develop ways to promote these values and to ensure they are embraced by all members of the UF Law community.
